Come Hungry. Leave With Your Pants Fighting for Their Life.
Listen, I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you're looking for recipes involving cauliflower pretending to be mashed potatoes, zucchini masquerading as pasta, or a sad piece of lettuce wrapped around something that SHOULD be in a bun, you're in the wrong damn place.
I didn't get to be this gloriously well-fed by eating decorative leaves and pretending Greek yogurt tastes like sour cream. Let's not insult each other's intelligence.
Around here, butter is a food group, garlic is measured by the fistful, and cheese gets added until someone yells, "JESUS CHRIST, THAT'S ENOUGH!" (Spoiler alert: It's never enough.)
We've got old-school Italian recipes that'll make Grandma cry tears of joy (unless you put sugar in her gravy, in which case she'll crawl out of her grave and beat your ass with a wooden spoon).
Then there's Jet, who throws 47 ingredients into a pan without measuring a damn thing and somehow creates a culinary masterpiece. Meanwhile, I'm standing over the sink eating shredded cheese out of the bag like a raccoon with a mortgage.
We've got meat, potatoes, casseroles, carbs, and enough cheese to make a cardiologist start drinking.
And let's get one thing straight.
We're not serving three peas, a decorative leaf, and a teaspoon of sauce smeared across a plate like a toddler finger-painted with diarrhea.
WE EAT ACTUAL FOOD HERE.
If a recipe sucked, you won't find it. If somebody went back for thirds and then ate the leftovers at midnight standing barefoot in front of the refrigerator like a starving possum?
THAT'S A KEEPER.
WELCOME TO THE RECIPE INDEX.
Where the food is homemade, the portions are borderline irresponsible, and the only six-pack we're interested in comes with dinner rolls.
Now loosen your pants and quit asking if there's a healthier version. There isn't.
